Fraser Stryker provides advice and counsel to hospitals, clinics, physicians and other health care professionals throughout the region.
We represent health care institutions, including tertiary care hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement centers, home health care providers, hospital medical staff members, and other health care providers.
We have represented hospitals in medical staff hearings and have drafted and supported legislation that benefits health-related businesses. Moreover, we counsel individual physicians and physician groups concerning the formation and operation of their practices, and the termination of professional relationships, including advice about the relevant features of partnerships and professional corporations, employment arrangements, and stock repurchase agreements. Firm members represent physicians and other health care professionals during state licensure investigations and administrative disciplinary hearings.
Our Firm advises hospitals, medical centers, and physician groups regarding methods of deferred compensation, including the planning, designing, drafting, and implementing of both qualified and nonqualified plans.
We provide legal services to health care professionals regarding their interaction with third party payors, both private and governmental, and with alternative delivery systems, such as HMOs and PPOs. Our experience includes analyses of both reimbursement issues and the nature of contractual relationships.
Drawing on its team of construction, health care, tax, and business attorneys, the Firm has represented hospitals and medical centers in all aspects of health care facilities construction and financing, including bond issues and construction loans.
