
Lois Grace Kanioka
Studying at the University of Nebraska College of Law, Lois Grace Kanioka serves as the 1L Vice President of the Student Bar Association and is actively involved in the Black Law Students Association and Delta Theta Phi. She brings a strong background in advocacy and client-centered work, along with multilingual communication skills that support meaningful connections with diverse communities.
Lois earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and African American Studies from the University of Iowa. She has experience working in high-pressure, client-focused roles, including as an Emergency Community Support Specialist and a Youth Crisis and Advocacy Specialist. Her background also includes community engagement work through the Iowa City Truth and Reconciliation initiative, where she analyzed complex discussions and helped facilitate communication across a wide range of stakeholders.

Sadie Lage
Attending Creighton University School of Law, Sadie Lage is a member of the Student Bar Association and serves as a Law Ambassador. She has earned recognition for her academic performance, including the CALI Award in Legal Research and Writing for her section.
Before beginning law school, Sadie earned both a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Medical Anthropology from Creighton University, graduating summa cum laude. She previously served as Camp Director and later Director of Operations and Training at the St. Thomas More Center, where she managed staff, developed programming, and oversaw operations for large groups. Sadie also worked as a Graduate Assistant supporting community engagement initiatives, gaining experience in leadership, organization, and communication.

Anna Ulferts
Pursuing her J.D. at the University of Nebraska College of Law, Anna Ulferts is involved in the Women’s Law Caucus and is a member of the Equal Justice Society, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and the Innocence Club. She brings a strong academic foundation and a broad interest in multiple areas of law, including employment, personal injury, and taxation.
Before law school, Anna graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, with high distinction. During her undergraduate career, she served as Vice President of Events and Programming for Kappa Delta Sorority, was a Girl Scouts of America Site Leader, and was a member of Order of Omega. Anna also gained legal experience as an intern with the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office, where she assisted with case preparation, maintained court records, and observed courtroom proceedings.
About the Summer Associate Program
The Fraser Stryker Summer Associate program is designed to provide law students with exposure to diverse, substantive legal areas, as well as the individual practice styles of various attorneys. Fraser Stryker provides our Summer Associates with real-world experience, feedback, and mentoring, and time devoted to community involvement.
