Michaela P. Casey is a trial attorney representing individuals and businesses in state and federal litigation. Her practice includes insurance defense, commercial litigation, personal injury, contract disputes, negligence, premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, and complex coverage matters.

A Detail-Oriented Litigation Approach

Michaela is known for her attention to detail and believes the details are often where cases are won or lost. She takes a thorough and pragmatic approach to each matter, helping clients understand the legal process while also considering the practical implications litigation can have outside the courtroom.

Her insurance defense practice includes personal and commercial coverage disputes, declaratory relief actions, and litigation support for special investigation units. She also conducts examinations under oath and assists with insurance fraud investigations.

Education and Experience

Michaela earned her Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice. While in law school, she clerked for a local defense firm focused on medical malpractice litigation. Her early legal career included work with firms specializing in general litigation and insurance defense, helping her build a strong foundation in trial practice and client advocacy.

Michaela is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, Nebraska Defense Counsel Association, and the Robert M. Spire Inns of Court. She is also involved in the Sarpy County Teen Court Diversion Program and has served as a judge for mock trial programs in Iowa and Nebraska.

Life Outside the Office

Outside the office, Michaela enjoys painting and spending time at home with her husband and their three dogs.
