Taya Skelton focuses her legal practice on general litigation, with particular interests in employment law and criminal matters. She is committed to understanding her clients’ needs and broader goals so she can provide thoughtful, practical guidance and effective advocacy.

Taya believes that strong advocacy begins with listening and building trust. She takes the time to understand the circumstances surrounding each matter and strives to ensure her clients feel informed, supported, and confident in the legal process. Her approach combines determination and careful attention to detail with a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate difficult legal challenges.
Education and Early Experience
Taya earned her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2026 after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2023. Her legal education provided a strong foundation in litigation and advocacy, preparing her to approach complex legal issues with both persistence and purpose.
Outside the Office
Outside of her legal practice, Taya enjoys reading, traveling, and staying active. An avid runner, she recently transitioned into marathon running, which has become one of her biggest passions. She also enjoys experiencing new places and cultures and unwinding with a good book.
