On Tuesday, April 12, 2023, members of the Fraser Stryker Business and Commercial Litigation practice group received a $5,010,500 jury verdict on behalf of Crabar/GBF, Inc., a subsidiary of Ennis, Inc., in a lawsuit alleging breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and tortious interference with business relationships and expectancies against Wright Printing Co., its owner, and several of its current and former employees. The eleven-day jury trial, held in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska, followed six years of litigation involving Crabar’s claims that the defendants unlawfully accessed and used Crabar’s confidential, proprietary, and trade secret information to unfairly compete for business in the commercial print industry.
Paul Shotkoski, Patrick Cooper, and Alex Arkfeld served as trial counsel for Crabar.
