During its June meeting, Fraser Stryker partner Tim Thalken was elected Chairperson of the Omaha Personnel Board.

In 2017, Thalken was appointed to serve a five-year term on the Personnel Board by Mayor Jean Stothert. His appointment was confirmed by the City Council. Thalken previously served as the Board’s Secretary.

The Personnel Board serves as a quasi-judicial body that hears appeals regarding employee disciplinary actions and grievances, makes recommendations to the City Council regarding proposed collective bargaining agreements, and provides advice to the Mayor, City Council, and HR Director on personnel matters.
