“I would encourage the incoming clerks to say yes to everything Fraser has to offer.” – Ellen Rogers

Fraser Stryker welcomed another outstanding class of talented law students into our 2025 Summer Associate program. In this spotlight, we’re excited to share the experiences and insights of one of this year’s 1L participants, Ellen Rogers. Pursuing hr J.D. at Creighton University School of Law, Ellen is a member of the Women’s Law Student Association and Law Ambassadors.

Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, cum laude, from The College of the Holy Cross, where she achieved Dean’s List First Honors every semester. She served as a New Student Orientation Leader, held the role of Counseling Outreach Peer Educators (COPE) Officer, and gained legal experience as a Legal Intern with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

Q: What was your favorite social or out-of-office experience this summer, and what made it memorable?

A: My favorite out of office experience this summer was participating in the summer golf league with several attorneys and clerks. We would play once a week after work which allowed us to get to know one another outside of the office and have fun together.

Q: Which project challenged you the most this summer, and how did you grow as a result?

A: The project that challenged me the most this summer was an NDA playbook…. I had never seen an NDA before starting here, let alone understanding what each part means. Throughout the process of drafting this large project, I was able to understand and pull out key terms more easily. Finally seeing the finished project get sent out with so much of my work was really special.

Q: What insights or words of wisdom would you pass along to next year’s Summer Associate class?

A: I would encourage the incoming clerks to say yes to everything Fraser has to offer. Attorneys are always asking clerks to go with them to depositions, client meetings or listen in on calls during the day, so jump on those opportunities even if you aren’t quite sure what it looks like.

Q: What’s one thing you’ll take with you from this experience that will stay with you throughout your career?

A: The people make the place. Fraser is so special in the way that everyone genuinely looks forward to coming to work and working together. Trevor told me that law is a team sport, and that is evident here.
