Fraser Stryker welcomed another outstanding class of talented law students into our 2026 Summer Associate program. In this spotlight, we’re excited to share the experiences and insights of one of this year’s 2L participants, Ellen Rogers. A student at Creighton University School of Law, Ellen is a member of Law Ambassadors and previously participated in the Women’s Law Student Association, while also serving as a mentor to first-year law students as they transition into law school.
Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, cum laude, from The College of the Holy Cross, where she achieved Dean’s List First Honors every semester. She served as a New Student Orientation Leader, held the role of Counseling Outreach Peer Educators (COPE) Officer, and gained legal experience as a Legal Intern with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
Q: How did your experience this summer compare to what you expected coming in? Were there any surprises?
A: Going into this summer, I did not anticipate how much of a mentor the 2L’s are to the new summer associates. I really enjoyed being somewhat of a leader/role model for the class below.
Q: What was your favorite social or out-of-office experience this summer, and what made it memorable?
A: My favorite social experience this year was playing pickleball. I had so much fun learning to play and getting to have some fun with the attorneys and other clerks.
Q: What insights or words of wisdom would you pass along to next year’s Summer Associate class?
A: Say yes to everything! Whether you get invited to attend a client meeting, write a brief or play in the attorney golf league, all these experiences will strengthen both your relationships within the firm and enhance your legal experience. At Fraser Stryker every experience is an opportunity to build relationships, expand your skills, and make the most of your time at the firm.
Q: What’s one thing you’ll take with you from this experience that will stay with you throughout your career?
A: The way to find success in this career is by developing genuine connections with the attorneys you work with and earning their trust through consistently producing quality work.
