“Returning to Fraser Stryker after several in-house roles gives me a chance to represent multiple clients in a familiar environment and surrounded by a team of talented lawyers and support staff.” – John McCarthy

Fraser Stryker is proud to welcome back John McCarthy to the Firm’s Business & Corporate Law team. John brings over 30 years of industry experience, focusing on business and corporate matters, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance, international legal and regulatory issues, and complex commercial transactions.

Over two decades ago, John launched his legal career at Fraser Stryker. “It was here that I developed the skills and confidence to advocate for clients in a variety of settings,” said John. “While some things are familiar at the Firm, a lot more has changed in the past 20 years. I am looking forward to working with old friends, but I am excited to meet new colleagues and support a broad range of new clients for the Firm.”

John has cultivated deep expertise in international legal matters, managing a European-based legal team in London and overseeing operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and later in North America, South America, and the Asia Pacific regions.

Throughout his career, John has advised on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border regulatory compliance, telecommunications infrastructure projects, and cybersecurity and data privacy concerns. His extensive experience negotiating complex service agreements and leading post-acquisition integration efforts positions him as a trusted advisor to clients navigating today’s business challenges.

When he’s not assisting clients, John can be found spending time with his family and dogs, traveling, hiking, or cheering on his favorite sports teams—the Creighton Bluejays, Nebraska Huskers, or Arsenal Gunners.

Welcome back to the Firm, John!
