
Abigail Bergstrom
Studying at Creighton University School of Law, Abigail Bergstrom is currently serving as the Managing Editor of Creighton Law Review, Volume 59. She was a 2L representative for both the Black Law Student Association and Law Ambassadors during the 2024–2025 academic year and remains an active general member in both organizations. Abigail is also a two-time competition winner—part of the First Place Team at both the Creighton 2024 Moot Court Competition and the Creighton 2025 Trial Team Competition, where she was additionally recognized as Outstanding Oralist.
Abigail completed her undergraduate studies at Liberty University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Communications, cum laude. She was named Miss Oregon 2021 and placed as 4th runner-up at the Miss America competition. During her year of service, Abigail championed her social impact initiative, “Generation Next: Equity for the Underserved,” becoming a national ambassador for the National Center for Children in Poverty. Through speaking engagements and community outreach, she worked to advance equity and opportunity for underserved youth across the country.

McKayla Celis
McKayla Celis is a law student at Creighton University School of Law, where she serves as a general staff member of the Creighton Law Review and was the Property Law Tutor for first-year students. She is engaged in the law school community through her involvement in student organizations such as the Labor & Employment Law Society, Sports & Entertainment Law Society, and J. Reuben Clark Law Society, where she collaborates with peers who share her interest in the intersection of law, business, and policy.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Utah State University, with a minor in Human Resources Management. Following her undergraduate studies, McKayla worked as a Judicial Assistant for the Third District Court in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she gained valuable insight into the legal system and the practical workings of the courtroom.

Soffi Olson
A student at the University of Nebraska College of Law, Soffi Olson is a member of the Nebraska Law Review and Moot Court, serves as a Legal Writing TA, and mentors incoming 1Ls as an Inclusive Leadership Fellow. Soffi is also involved with the professional law fraternity Delta Theta Phi (DTP) and the Student Bar Association (SBA). She volunteered through the Community Legal Education Project (CLEP), leading Constitution Day lessons for 8th graders and a mock trial of Goldilocks and the Three Bears for 5th graders at Lincoln Public Schools. In Spring 2025, she externed with Magistrate Judge Nelson.
Before law school, Soffi graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Business Management and Business and Law. During her undergraduate years, she was inducted into the Order of Omega Honor Society and held leadership roles in Delta Gamma Sorority. Soffi dedicated her time to community service through Service for Sight and a hands-on service-learning course called “Serving People and Projects.”

Taya Skelton
Taya Skelton is a student at the University of Nebraska College of Law, where she is involved in the Women’s Law Caucus, Sports and Business Law Club, N-Volved, Inner Circle, and the professional law fraternity Delta Theta Phi (DTP). She was one of five students selected to represent Nebraska Law at Tulane University’s Sports Law Negotiation Competition and has served as a Law Student Mentor. Active in the community, she has been heavily involved with the Nebraska Athletics Community Outreach program. Since 2019, she has competed as a student-athlete on Nebraska’s Cross Country and Track & Field team.
Taya earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, with minors in Spanish and Criminal Justice. While at UNL, she was involved in the Husker JEDI Team, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and Athlete-to-Athlete Mentoring, and took part in different service trips to Costa Rica and Ecuador. She was consistently named to the Dean’s List and a Big 10 Distinguished Scholar and received honors including the Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award, Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, Outstanding Scholar Athlete Award, and recognition on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
About the Summer Associate Program
The Fraser Stryker Summer Associate program is designed to provide law students with exposure to diverse, substantive legal areas, as well as the individual practice styles of various attorneys. Fraser Stryker provides our Summer Associates with real-world experience, feedback, and mentoring, and time devoted to community involvement.
